Flag of Castilla-La Mancha

Flag of Castilla-La Mancha

The flag of Castilla-La Mancha consists of two vertical stripes of equal width: the hoist (left side) is red charged with a gold three-towered castle — the historical arms of Castile — while the fly (right side) is white, representing the open plains of La Mancha. The flag is a direct visual translation of the regional coat of arms. It was officialized by the Statute of Autonomy in 1982.
