Estado
The flag of Zacatecas is an official symbol representing this Mexican state.
The Coat of arms of Zacatecas was granted to the city of Zacatecas —and later adopted by the municipality and state of the same name— on June 20, 1588, by King Philip II, through a Royal Decree.
Zacatecas is one of the 32 federal entities of Mexico. Each Mexican state has its own coat of arms and flag, often incorporating symbols from pre-Columbian civilizations, colonial heritage, and natural landscapes.
